Honey has long been recognized as a natural remedy and has been used as a medicine for thousands of years. It has antiseptic properties and can be used as a remedy for ailments from sore throats to burns and cuts. This is endorsed by research which has shown that its bactericidal properties can be used to good effect in treating digestive problems.
We are delighted to be stocking honey from North Oxfordshire based V&L Honeymakers.
V&L Honeymakers has 700 hives dotted around the beautiful Oxfordshire Cotswolds, an outstanding area for honey production thanks to its rich soil and abundance of nectar.
No sugar is added to the honey once it has been harvested, nor is it harshly overheated, and they do not use any antibiotics or additives at any point during its production. Thanks to these techniques they honey retains all of its natural goodness and beneficial properties, and remains one of natures’ finest of super foods.

English Blue Borage Honey
With its transparent colour and lovely taste, Borage (or as it is also called “starflowerâ€) is a single flower speciality honey. Crystal clear, delicately flavoured and slow to granulate.
Sweet Clover Honey
Golden in colour and mellow in taste, this delicious Sweet Clover honey is 100% natural and pure.
