Re-opening our Café

About The Bell Plantation Café

We are delighted to be re-opening our Café doors once again since lock down. We have been working hard whilst we have been closed to make necessary changes to keep you and our team safe. We have also completed the renovations to expand our Cafe area which means we have been able to give you lots of space in all the seating areas.

We are currently running an adapted menu. However we are still bringing you delicious, simple English food that is made as fresh as possible.

At breakfast, you can have anything from simple toast to a full English breakfast. Mid-morning, we serve delicious barista-made coffee and home-made cakes.

At lunch, you can have a simple home-made sandwich, a baguette, lasagne or choose from one of our specials on the board. In the afternoon you can relax with a cup of tea and a slice of cake or try a full-blown afternoon tea (Monday – Saturday from 3pm).

Please Note: The menu is subject to change regularly if we sell out of dishes. Please call us if you have a specific requirement.

A nice big centre with a lovely cafe (indoor and out), the breakfasts were very nice and apparently they are part of the Monday to Wednesday half price scheme. The Covid distancing was very well organised and efficient. The staff were charming. The main shop is open and the outdoor garden centre.

Rebuilt section looks much better and, despite social distancing restrictions, it's a great place to visit for the garden centre and sheds or hard landscaping requirements.

(Update: the new restaurant is now open.) Wow, what a transformation they've had since I last visited. It's three times the size! Due to Covid-19, new restaurant/café wasn't open when I visited, but again, wow, very impressed. Friendly staff as well. Animals (birds and goats) to look at and some for purchase. Other new, not yet open, buildings accessed through the car parking area. Will be back!!

Nice place to visit, some products are overpriced... Farm style shop is quite well stocked. Some of the plants were a little unhealthy, but overall a good garden centre shopping village..
