We run a variety of fun, hands-on events for children throughout the year, designed to spark creativity and a love of nature. Some of our most popular activities include painting your own planter and decorating a bug house – perfect for little ones to get stuck in and take home something they’ve made themselves.

Alongside these, we also host seasonal activities like trails, planting sessions and other creative workshops, giving families plenty of reasons to visit again and again.

We don’t forget the grown-ups either, with events ranging from gardening talks and planting workshops to festive favourites like wreath making.

Visit the Poultry

Did you know we have a Poultry Centre on site, home to hundreds of birds? Take a wander through and meet our chickens, quail and magnificent peacocks – it’s a lovely, relaxed way to enjoy something a little different during your visit.

Spring is a particularly special time, with the chance to spot adorable chicks and ducklings, making it perfect for families and little ones.

Take a break in the Plantation Café

Our Plantation Café is at the heart of Bell Plantation, with a simple ethos of fresh, home-made food served in a warm and relaxing setting. It’s the perfect place to pause, whether you’re popping in for a coffee or enjoying a leisurely meal.

We offer a varied breakfast and lunch menu, along with daily specials and a great choice of vegetarian and vegan options, so there’s always something to suit every taste.

For a real treat, enjoy our quintessentially English Afternoon Tea – ideal for catching up with friends and family over delicious food and a pot of tea. Our special Easter Afternoon Tea will also be available from 30th March to 11th April, making it the perfect seasonal indulgence.

Visit our Indoor Playbarn

Join Belle and her friends for a play at the farm on our one of a kind two storey play frame. Our room is also fully air conditioned for when it is too hot outside!

Children of all ages will love playing, building and imagining with our soft hay bales.

When you all need a break and to recharge your batteries, our Café offers a wide selection of drinks, snacks and meals all in an air conditioned environment.

Join in our colouring competition…

From Saturday 28th March until Sunday 12th April we are running a colouring competition, either pick up a sheet from Playbarn or download one here and your little ones can have fun colouring in the chicken and making a fun scene.

Just hand in the completed sheet to Playbarn by 12th April and be in with a chance to win a gift card worth £25, perfect for a toy, to use in playbarn or maybe some tasty treats from the food hall.

All entries received will be judged on Monday 13th April and the winner will be notified via email.
